I've forgotten how to feel infinite I'm not the way I used to be My mind is stuck to the ground I'm no longer free I used to feel happy Now at the very least, I can be satisfied I used to feel infinite But now I feel that I can't shift the tide With a drawing Or a word It seems it's really hard to change the world I want to, but how could I dare? I left my hopes and dreams over a rainbow somewhere Somewhere in the big backyard where it seems I could reincarnate my fantasies But now I cry Because the big worlds I've built in my mind are infinite And I'll wish forever to have it back But I'll never regain that which I lack Because my dreams

It is I. I am the stepping stone. I am here And I don't move. The humans around me So fleshy and fragile Are deft, quick, Much more alive They'll stay with me, Love me for a week or a day Then pass right on by Without even saying goodbye. To them, I am there To propel them further And otherwise to be left alone They've never considered That maybe the stone Wasn't meant to be stepped on... I don't move And the others do But it's okay I'm not sad to be alone For they will decay To dust and bone But I am eternal. I am Stone.

I remember her form In the distance Approaching Her clothes clinging to her and cascading down Like water On her and around her, but not a part of her I remember the sky With its muted light And the tree-line from which she emerged And the way she seemed to part one lake into two Her expression quite doubtful, but gathering courage I remember how she did it Fearlessly Effortlessly As onto the water she strode When the day's color palette blended into one At that moment, this world became her abode I remember who she was For she wore it on her sleeve But I don't remember her name.
